Fight for Attawapiskat School Succeeds!!!

Thanks to the efforts of NDP MPs Charlie Angus and Irene Mathyssen, the thousands of young people across Canada who spoke out on behalf of the children of the Attawapiskat First Nation--including the nearly two thousand Thames Valley School Board students who lobbied the Minister of Indian Affairs--on December 8th, the announcement was made that Attawapiskat is now "on the list" for a new elementary school.
