I know I do not have to tell you about London’s infrastructure deficit, because you are faced with that reality every day.

New Democrats make final attempt to safeguard environmental protections before tomorrow’s vote on C-45

OTTAWA – On the eve of the vote on the Conservatives’ budget bill, the NDP moved a new motion to protect our lakes and rivers.

Bill C-45 seeks to transform the Navigable Waters Act and remove most environmental protections from almost all of Canada’s lakes and rivers, including London’s Thames River.

On November 20th, as part of UNICEF's "Take Your MP to School" initiative, Irene visited St. Pius X Catholic Elementary School in her riding.

Students from Grades 1-6 used this opportunity to involve their MP in their "Anti-Bullying" Campaign. Irene watched a video, play, and poster presentation by the students, and joined them in taking the anti-bullying pledge.

Irene also delivered two copies of "Our Country, Our Parliament" and two new maps of Canada for the school library, which she presented to the student parliament which organized the assembly.
